13 July 1945 the company embarked on the U.S.S. Sherburne (APA 205) and saile dfrom Biak on the same day. the ship made a stop at Zamboanga and then continued to Manila, arriving in the harbor on the morning of 18 July 1945. the troops did not disembark until the afternoon of 20 July, going "over the side" into landing craft which took them ashore.
