This photo post card I purchased from an estate of a Dr. Snook, GP who lived and worked in Alaska, California, Oregon and New York. Dr. Snook liked to think of himself as an amateur photographer. He shot, developed and printed all his own work. This post card is an example of his work. One curious note to this photo is that the negative is backwards as the name of the ship is reversed. It reads Strathfillan, Glasgow. She is flying the British flag. I want to thank Bud Shortridge of BUD'S "NAVY FIGHTING SHIP HISTORY" WEB SITE in helping me identify this ship.
