HMCS Cape Breton in a storm, 1963.

This series of photos was taken during a storm encountered by HMCS Cape Breton on her last trip from Esquimalt to Pearl Harbor in the fall of 1963. There were very heavy seas, with 50 to 60 foot swells -- so heavy that the ship actually went 1 knot astern for approximately two days.
