Orville William Bryant

IN MEMORIAM

Orville William Bryant, age 73, of Harrison, Arkansas, died Monday, Aug. 6 at Boone County Hospital.

He was born April 4, 1912 in Harmon, son of William (Bill) and Annie Payne Bryant.

He was a lifetime resident of Boone County, and a retired city employee. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Anna, of the home; a son, Thomas William, of Harrison; three daughters, Shirley Louise Sands and Hazel Ruth Wells of Harrison and Nina Ruth Bennett of Yakima, Wash.; a brother, Jim of Salem, Ore.; two sisters, Gladys Thompson of Grand Prairie, Tex. and Fern Mysinger of Harrison; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9 at Christeson Funeral Home, Rev. Dennis James officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery under direction of Christeson Funeral Home. Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8 at Christeson Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Bennie Marshall, Bill Burns, Coy Cole, Wayne Tucker, Kevin Campbell and Lovell (Baldy) Ferguson.

Honorary pallbearers include Col. J. R. Hester, Horace Hester, Donald Raney, Dr. Ross Fowler, Dr. Charles Klepper and Dr. Pepper Ashford.
