Howard Denton Cline of Chaffee, Missouri, 71 years old, was pronounced dead on arrival at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 1986, at Chaffee General Hospital.
He was born November 1, 1914, at Moorehouse, son of the late Howard and Minnie Null Cline.
Mr. Cline was a Navy veteran, having served during World War II aboard the U.S.S Orvetta in the Asiatic-Pacific theater.
He was a retired brakeman for the Frisco Railway Company.Surviving are a son, Howard D. ("Denny") Cline, Jr., Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Montgomery, Chaffee; and three grandchildren, Jeanette Montgomery Wachter, Monty Montgomery and Chris Montgomery. A beloved daughter, Jeanette, preceded him in her untimely death at the tender age of 12.
Friends may call at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee after 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. I. Douglas Pope, Pastor of the First United Church in Chaffee, will officiate. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery here.
