SUBJECT:   After Action Report,

  1.  The after action report for this unit for the period 1 May - 9 May, 1945, both dates inclusive is 
       herewith submitted.
.            (a)  Narrative:
          At the opening of the period covered herein the Battalion was located in an assembly area at Pfatter, Bez, Amt,  Regensburg, Germany (397569)
At 1148 hours, 2 May 1945,  the Battalion commenced a 65 mile march along the West bank of the Danube River, and closed at 1852 hours at Eichet, Kries Passua, (148133) where firing positions were occupied in support of the 65th Infantry Division.  39 rounds were fired from this position into Austria.  The last round fired by this Battalion, in this theater, was fired by Battery "B"at 0300 hours 3 May 1945.

On 5 May 1945,  the firing batteries closed trails and remained in their respective areas.

This organization was relieved of its combat mission effective 1200 hours 6 May 1945.  At 1630 hours, 7 May 1945, official word was received through military channels that the war had ended and that the enemy had surrendered
unconditionally,  effective 0001  9 May 1945.

The close of the period found the Battalion in assembly at Eichet.
