From Tracy City, take Hwy 56 north 1 7/10 mile. Turn
left on Clouse Hill Road. Clock 7 miles to reach the bottom of
the mountain & clock another 3/10 mile to reach the graves
of Jordan Sanders (Son) and Solomon
Sanders (Father) who was considered a contemporary in the Cove as well
as one of it's earliest white settlers. (ca 1805)
The graves are
in a cow pasture. There is a gray moblie home beside the pasture and the
gate is by the road facing the moblie home. The graves are by the
large trees in the middle of the pasture and there is a sign under the
trees `Sanders
Cemetery`.

Authors Note: It
my opinion, the dates inscribed on Solomon Sanders Memorial (1730-1830)
were someones educated approximation as the exact dates
(1740-1837) were probably not known at the time the memorial was being
ordered. I welcome your comments and corrections on this and
would also appeciate any information regarding the identity of the
person or persons responsible for the Military Memorial Stone's
eventual placement. Alma
