Joseph was born on Nov. 11, 1919, probably in the St. Paul, MN area.  Anthony (Joseph's father) married Mary Elizabeth Lydon.  She was from Duluth, MN  They moved to South Minneapolis where Anthony pursued a career in Law.  Joseph graduated from St. Thomas Military Academy and the College of St. Thomas, both in St. Paul, MN.  He married Charlotte Anne Carlson of Minneapolis August 12 1944.  After getting out of the Air Force they lived in Minneapolis, and Golden Valley, MN until June 1973.  They moved to Mitchell SD and operated a motel until his death on January 25th, 1991.
