  West was known to fly on a plane called Doodlebug, 41-24223.

Doodlebug was probably the 308th aircraft with the most Hump flights.  In addition to the eleven bomb missions symbols and the the ten Jap flags.  Doodlebug had 120 snow-capped mountain symbols stenciled on her, representing 120 trips over the HUMP!
