Shot down while on a mission to
Huls, Germany on 22 June
1943 in Golden Bear or Night Shade, 42-5789. The plane was last
seen with engines 3 and 4 out. Under control but losing speed and
altitude. The crew was captured in the Muster/Westfalen area.
Captured and was a POW in Stalag Luft 3.
