91st PA--Grand Army of the Republic

I have assumed that men belonged to a GAR post if the members of the post were invited to attend their funeral.

Matthew Hall was inspector-general in 1889.



Miscellaneous

Vera Fennell, Peter Abbott's granddaughter, served as national president of the GAR, and as president of the Pennsylvania Department of the GAR.

Samuel S Conrad, son of Samuel Conrad (E), was a messenger for the GAR in 1880, when he was 14 years old.

James Beeman (H)'s grave has a GAR flagholder.

John Schwartz (K) is buried in the "South Side GAR Cemetery", in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
