He was transferred to company K on 4 December 1861 (1).

He deserted at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 19 January 1862 (5). He returned from desertion on 8 March 1863 (2).

He was dishonorably discharged on 1 May 1863, by sentence of general court martial (1, 5, 6).
