During the war

He was a substitute (1). He was enlisted and mustered into service on 24 March 1865 (1, 2, 5). He was enlisted for one year, at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, by Captain Yoster (2). He served as a private in company I (1).

He mustered out with his company on 10 July 1865 (1, 2, 5). He had served for four months (4).

After the war

On 9 February 1892, he applied successfully from Pennsylvania for a pension (3, 5).

On 6 April 1904, he was admitted to the National Home (4). He was admitted from Pennsylvania (4).

In 1904 he was present at the Southern Branch of the National Soldiers' Home (4). He was not receiving a pension (4). He had rheumatism (4).

On 25 February 1907, he again applied for a pension (5).

He died on 2 August 1914, at the National Military Home in Ohio (5).
