He may have deserted on 25 August 1863, from a hospital in West Philadelphia--but the entry is crossed out in a way that suggests this is a mistake (5).
On 8 September 1863, Sinex reported that he was in Philadelphia and able to rejoin the regiment, and requested his return (2).
On 18 September 1863, he was reported deserted from a hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (3). On 29 October 1863, he was reported regained from desertion (4).
He was transferred on 1 May 1864 to the Veterans' reserve corps (1, 6, 8 [reported 8 July]). He served in company A or H of the 3rd Veterans' reserve corps (10 [A], 11 [H]).
