He married Susan E Filler, and they had seven children (1). He later married Molly Irvin, and they had one child (1).
He died on 8 May 1911 in Buchannon Valley, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania (1). He is buried at St Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, in York, Pennsylvania, near Jerome Small (1).
