He mustered out with his company on 10 July 1865 (1).

After the war

In 1870, he was living in Orwigsburg, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania (5). He was a laborer (5) He was living with his wife Elizabeth and children Jacob and Frederick (5).

In 1880, he was living in Pottsville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania (6). He was a notion peddler (6). He was living with his wife Elizabeth and son Frederick (6).

On 26 July 1890, he applied successfully from Pennsylvania for a pension (3, 9).

He was buried in Salem Evangelical Cemetery, in Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania (4).

On 10 January [?] 1900, his widow, Elizabeth Becker, applied successfully from Pennsylvania for a pension (3, 9).

He died on 23 January 1900 (9).

In 1900, his widow, Elizabeth Becker, was living in Orwigsburg, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania (7).
