In 1880, he was living in Chester, Delaware County, Pennsylvania (6). He was living with his wife Elizabeth, children Thomas and Horace, and a laborer and domestic servant (6). He was a retired farmer (6).

On 28 January 1893, his widow, Elizabeth S Blee, applied unsuccessfully from Pennsylvania for a pension (4, 5).
