During the war

He was drafted (1, 3). He was enlisted and mustered into service on 1 February 1865 (1, 5) or 21 March 1865 (2, 3). He was enlisted for one year, at Williamsport, Pennsylvania, by Captain Eyster (2, 3). He served as a private in company C (1).

He mustered out with his company on 10 July 1865 (1, 3, 5).

After the war

On 3 September 1890, he applied successfully from Pennsylvania for a pension (4 , 5).

On 2 February 1907 he again applied for a pension (5).

He died on 30 April 1908 (5).
