During the war

He also served in company I of the 1st New Jersey Infantry (3). He also served in company H of the 6th Veteran Reserve Corps (3).

He was a substitute (1). He was enlisted and mustered into service on 23 March 1865 (1, 2, 3). He was enlisted for one year, at Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, by Captain Jacques [?] (2). He served as a private in company I (1).

He mustered out with his company on 10 July 1865 (1, 2, 3).

After the war

On 9 July 1890, he successfully applied for a pension (3).

He died on 23 September 1897 (3).
