He was wounded at Peeble's Farm, Virginia, on 30 September 1864 (2).

On 2 June 1865, he was transferred from the 118th Pennsylvania Infantry to company F of the 91st Pennsylvania Infantry (1, 2, 3). He served as a private in company F of the 91st Pennsylvania (1).

He mustered out with his company on 10 July 1865 (1, 3).
