On 15 April 1864, Lieutenant Colonel Sinex recommended him for a detail, in compliance with general order 18 (8 April 1864) from the Army Headquarters (5). He does not say what the detail was for.
He was discharged near Washington DC, on 30 May 1865 or 1 June 1865, by general order 26, War Department (1, 8 [1 Jun], 11 [30 May], 13 [30 May]).
In 1890, he was living at 1727 Norwood, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (11).
On 13 October 1890, he applied successfully for a pension (13).
