He was a substitute (1). He was enlisted and mustered into service on 27 February 1865 (1, 2, 5). He was enlisted for one year, at Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, by Captain Bowen (2). He served as a private in company I (1).

He mustered out with his company on 10 July 1865 (1, 2, 5). He had served for four months (3).

After the war

On 18 May 1877, he applied successfully for a pension (4, 5).

On 8 February 1892, he was admitted to the National Soldiers Home (3). He was admitted from Pennsylvania (3). He had rheumatism (3). He was receiving a pension of $4 per month (3).

He was discharged from the Southern Branch of the National Soldiers Home on 15 January 1894 (3).

On 11 [?] March 1911, he again applied for a pension (5).
