He was killed on 3 May 1863 at Chancellorsville, Virginia (1). On 7 May 1863, he was reported as missing in action (3). The regiment still had him listed as missing in action on 30 June 1864 (2).
On 5 January 1876, he applied successfully for a pension (5).
