He was enlisted and mustered into service on 1 March 1864 (1, 5). He was enlisted at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (5). He was mustered into service as a private, at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (5). He served as a private in company G (1).

He deserted on 1 March 1864 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (1 [11 Mar], 3 [1 (?) Mar], 4 [1 Mar], 5 [1 Mar]).

On 27 April 1864, Sinex asked that he be sent to the regiment (2).
