Jacob Hause

Before the war

He was 21 years old when he was enlisted (2).

During the war

He also served in company A of the 30th US Infantry (3, 4).

He was drafted (1, 2). He was mustered into service in the 118th Pennsylvania Infantry on 15 July 1863 at Lancaster, Pennsylvania (1, 2, 4). He served in company G of the 118th Pennsylvania (1, 2, 3).

He was wounded at the Battle of the Wilderness, on 5 May 1865 (2).

He was transferred from the 118th Pennsylvania to the 91st Pennsylvania (1, 2). He served as a private, and was not assigned to a company, in the 91st Pennsylvania (1).

He was discharged on 22 September 1865 (1, 2, 4).

After the war

On 8 February 1875, he successfully applied for a pension (3, 4).

He died in 1908 (4).
