He was wounded at Peeble's Farm, Virginia, on 30 September 1864 (3).
On 2 June 1865, he was transferred from the 118th Pennsylvania to company E of the 91st Pennsylvania Infantry (1, 2, 3). He had received an advance bounty of $25, and was due $75 (2). He had drawn $37.58 in clothing since his enlistment (2). He had last been paid, by Major Holman, on 31 December 1864 (2).
He was mustered out on 10 July 1865 with his company (1, 5).
On 14 February 1871, he applied successfully for a pension (4, 5).
