He was a substitute (1, 3). He was enlisted and mustered into service on 24 March 1865 (1, 2, 3, 4). He was enlisted for one year, at Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, by Captain Lloyd (2). He was mustered in as a private, at Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania (3). He served as a private in company C (1).

He mustered out with his company on 10 July 1865 (1, 4).

After the war

He died on 10 April 1890 (6, 7). He was buried in the Keller Church Cemetery, Catharine Township, Blair County, Pennsylvania (6). His grave has a GAR flag marker (6).

On 12 July 1890, his widow, Anna M Keller, successfully applied from Pennsylvania for a pension (5, 7).

In 1890, his widow, Mary Keller, was living on Water Street, in Franklin, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania (4).
