He fought at the Battle of Gettysburg (12).
On 30 December 1863, Sinex reported that he was one of 38 men who had less than fifteen months to serve who were unwilling to reenlist (2). On 2 January 1864, he was transferred to the 155th Pennsylvania Infantry, while those eligible were on veterans' leave (5).
He mustered out near Petersburg, Virginia, on 20 September 1864 when his term expired (1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 14).
In 1870, he was living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (11). He was still living with John and Catharine Kuert and various other Kuert's (11). His occupation was: "attends gas meters" (11).
In 1880, he was living at 802 Enquirer Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (4). He was a boarder with Carrie K Fries (4). He was working in a meter factory (4).
He was admitted to the Pennsylvania Soldiers and Sailors Home on 29 May 1891 (13).
On 24 August 1889, he applied successfully from Pennsylvania for a pension (3, 14).
In 1890, he was living in the Soldiers and Sailors Home in Erie, Pennsylvania (9).
He died on 10 August 1891, at the Soldiers and Sailors Home in Erie, Pennsylvania (13, 14). An autopsy found colvid cancer, with a tumor weighing approximately 8 pounds (13).
