In 1880, he was living in Warriors Mark Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania (9). He was living with his wife Mary and children Wilford, Fanny, William, Edwin, Carrie, and Susan (9). He was a farmer (9).

On 21 March 1890, he successfully applied from Pennsylvania for a pension (4, 6).

In 1890, he was living in Warriors Mark, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania (5). He reported no disabilities (5).

He died on 28 May 1893 at Warriors Mark, Pennsylvania (4).

On 17 June [?] 1893, Mary B Neff, his widow, unsuccessfully applied from Pennsylvania for a pension (4, 6).
