I am not confident what his name is, because I often find distinguishing an 'l' from a 't' hard.

He was 5 feet 4 inches tall, and had a fair complexion, grey eyes, and light hair (5, 6).
He was drafted (1, 5, 6). He was enlisted and mustered into service on 10 July 1863 in the 62nd Pennsylvania Infantry (1, 5, 6). He was enlisted for three years (5, 6). His service was credited to the 22nd or 23rd congressional district (5 [22], 6 [23]).
He was transferred on 20 July 1864 from company M of the 62nd Pennsylvania to the 91st (1). On 21 July 1864, he, and the other members of companies L and M, were assigned to company G (2). On 22 July 1864, they were transferred to company K, following brigade orders to assign them to the smallest company (3). He was then present, as a private (3). He served as a private in company K (1).
On 28 June 1865, he began a furlough, which expired on 13 July 1865 (4, 9).
He was absent, on furlough, when the regiment mustered out (1).
