George Ubil

During the war

He was enlisted and mustered into service on 17 January 1862 (1, 2). He was enlisted at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (2). He was mustered in, at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as a private in company I (1, 2).

He was discharged on 10 June 1862 on surgeon's certificate of disability (1, 2).

After the war

In 1870, he was living in West Caln Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania (4). He was living with his wife Margaret, and (presumed children) Hannah, Sarah, and John (4). He was a stone mason, and owned real estate worth $1,600 (4).

In 1880, he was living in West Caln Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania (5). He was living with his wife Margaret, and his daughter Hannah Murray and her family (5). He was a laborer (5).

On 24 April 1888, his widow, Margaret A Ubil, applied successfully for a pension (3, 6).
