In Doc's Own Words:
I came over to 2/28th from 2/2nd at the beginning of Oct. '67. I was assigned as the platoon medic for 3rd Platoon, Bravo Co. at the beginning of Shenandoah II. In late October, when we went back out to An Loc and Loc Ninh, Doc Kaiser moved over to Alpha Co. and I became Senior Aid Man of Bravo ( I already had 5 months on line with 2/2nd). I got off line with Bravo in December '67 and went back out with Recon in early January '68. I got off line again in mid-February and went home in late March.
After I came home and got out, I worked for a few years and then got married and went back to college. I ended up getting a degree in Nursing and went back into the Army in a scholarship program. I retired from the Army in 1995 [as a LT. Colonel] and brought the family back to California. After that I worked as an O.R. director in a couple of hospitals and have been working in a startup supply database services company for the last year and a half. It has been an interesting career.
