2009 Update

All of January was spent running up and down Interstate 5 going to the V.A. Hospital in Portland (Oregon). They put me to sleep and opened up the left side of my neck and took out a section of lymph node or salivary gland that was swollen to biopsy. I never did find out which it was (lymph node or salivary gland). I have had several complications from that procedure and have been in and out if the hospital all month because of those complications.
What I did find out from the biopsy is that i do not have lymphoma as previously thought, but I do have adenocarcinoma. To make things more interesting, they have been unable to locate the source. I will be going back to Portland on the 13th of February for an ebdoscopy and simultaneous colonostomy to try to locate the primary source. Hopefully then we can finally det started with treatment.
In the meantime, updates and bew material for the website may bot happen or will be slow in coming. If you have read everything on this website, I suggest that you follow the links to Jor Hare's Flicker pages or Dave Berry's Vietnan Photos pages. Even if you have been there before, I suspect you will find something new if you go back!
