6015th Garrison Support Unit

Warrant Officer Page

Welcome to the web page of the Warrant Officers of the 6015th Garrison Support Unit. This site was developed as a communication and training tool for warrant officers within the unit for sharing information with each other, for other warrant officers outside the 6015th who may be interested in joining this organization, and for soldiers wanting to learn more about the role of warrant officers within the unit. Please contact us and let us know how we may improve our web site.

Mission Statement

The mission of the warrant officers assigned to the 6015th Garrison Support Unit is to act as technical experts in their assigned fields in support of the commander's goals and objectives. We do this by maintaining the readiness of the sections we are assigned, and by ensuring our personnel are trained and wartime ready. We train to support personnel deployment operations worldwide, by working with our departmental counterparts at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin to augment operations in times of mobilization and training; when, where, and as required.  We also serve to support each of our fellow warrant officers personally and professionally, setting the standards of achievement high, and maintaining the level of fitness and training above the requirements of our grades and job responsibilities. We actively support the Army Mentorship Program, and are willing and available to serve as mentors to junior officers, other warrant officers and enlisted soldiers, while maintaining the humility and ability to accept the counsel and advice of senior mentors with greater experience. Prepare the force!

Warrant Officer Conference (4-6 May 2001):
CW3 Cole and WO2 Taylor went to 88th RSC's Warrant Officer conference held again at Radisson in Bloomington, Minnesota, along with about 150 other warrant officers of the command.

Warrant Officer Conference (17-19 Sep 1999): Four of us (CW4 Anderson, CW3 Patterson, CW3 Cole, WO1 Taylor) spent an educational and enlightening weekend at Minneapolis, Minnesota at a Mentorship Conference sponsored by 88th Regional Support Command. There were about 120 warrant officers at the conference, including a number of AGR warrants, WOs from 84th & 85th Divisions, and a few retirees. Notable speakers included CW5 Matt Wojdak, OCAR; CW5 Dave Pelsor, USARC; CW5 Howard Lundin, OCAR; CW5 (Ret) Roy Bell, President WOA; CW4 Don Garlow, AR-PERSCOM; MAJ Kevin Knapp, CW3 James Anderson and CW3 Patti Cummings, 88th RSC. Saturday evening was topped off with a formal dinner sponsored by the Ft McCoy chapter of the USAWOA. The four of us from the 6015th who attended the conference feel it was a much needed event, and we all learned a lot. If only a portion of the changes come about as presented, no Warrant Officer will fail to be unaffected within the next five years (if we're still around). Contributed by CW3 Cole on 30 Sep 1999.
