Son of City's First Mayor Died Tuesday
Mr. William H. Becker, 237 N. Clinton, son of the late John Becker, first Mayor of the City of Collinsville, died Tuesday, February 6 at 10:40 a.m. at St. Mary's Hospital in East St. Louis. He was 86 years old.

Born in Collinsville April 27, 1875, Mr. Becker was a lifelong resident of this city. He never married, and is survived by one nephew, Roy J.Becker, of Elmhurst, Ill.

The funeral will be from the Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville Friday at 1 p.m. to the Lutheran Cemetery. The Rev. C.H. Kuhlman will officiate.
