Pvt. Arnold Cline, husband
of Mrs. Theresa (Kasino) Cline, 1009 Lebanon
Road, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Cline,
Blackjack Road, was killed in action in Germany
on November 22. His wife received a telegram from
the War Department on Saturday, December, 9.Pvt. Cline, who was
twenty-six years of age at the time of his death,
entered the service less than a year ago, in
March 1944. He trained with the infantry at Camp
Wolters, Texas, before he left the states to
serve overseas in the latter part of August.
Before he reached Germany, he was stationed in
Belgium, France and Scotland.
Cline was born in
Troy, and lived there until his family moved to
Prospect Street in this city. He attended Webster
School, and was employed by the Pennsylvania
Railroad before his induction. On February 8,
1942, he married Theresa Kasino, and they have
one son, Kenneth Arnold, two years old.
Besides his
parents, wife and child, Pvt. Cline is survived
by one sister, Mrs. Lillian Hand, living in New
Jersey; three brothers, George, serving overseas,
Leo, living in Maryville, and Rozelle, of
Minnesota.
