| John Mueller,
aged 78 years, 11 months and 25 days, died at his
home, 100 East Church street, Tuesday morning.
His death took place at seven o'clock. Mr.
Mueller was well known in this city, having lived
here for fifty years. He served in the Civil War
with the Union Army. The deceased was born in Bohemia on
January 22, 1842. He came to Collinsville fifty
years ago. He was married to Miss Katherine
Stumpf, October 19, 1862. He was engaged in the
painting trade from which he retired 11 years
ago.
His wife and son,
E. H. Mueller of Kansas City, Kan., and six
grandchildren survive. Funeral services were held
Thursday afternoon at two o'clock. Interment was
had at the Glenwood cemetery. Rev. Brodehoeft
officiated.
Mr. Mueller was a
member of the C. S. P. S. Bohemian and Hughs
Post, G.A.R. Post No. 534.
