Herald - March 7, 1913 |
| On Saturday
morning, March 1, at 7:10 o'clock. George W.
Thompson, died at the home of his son-in-law Bert
Long, 700 St. Louis Road. While 70 years of age,
deceased was comparatively active until Wednesday
when he contracted a cold. Surviving are the
widow and two children. Mrs. Bert Long and
Raleigh E. Thompson of Monticello, Ill., all whom
were at the bedside of the deceased. Doctor Thompson, as he was
known among his many friends, practiced dentistry
until his retirement several years ago. The sad
event occurring just a few minutes before going
to press time, makes it impossible to give
funeral arrangements or a more detailed obituary.
