August Kraczkowski, Former Resident Here, Dies at 77
August "Christ" Krazkowski, 77, retired coal miner formerly of East St. Louis, died at 12:45 a.m. Thursday in St. Francis hospital, Litchfield, after an illness of three weeks.

Born in Lithuania, Mr. Kraczkowski lived in this area most of his life. He was a Spanish-American war veteran and a member of the Progressive Mine Workers of America.

For the past two years he had been living with his nephew Robert Yarashus at Benld, Ill. He is survived by another nephew Domenic Yarashus of Cicero, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m Monday in SS. Peter and Paul church, Collinsville, with burial in the Catholic cemetery. Herbert A. Kassly, Collinsville, has charge.
