Henry Pausch dies Sunday Following Fall, broken Hip
Henry Pausch of 1817 Vandalia Street passed away at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, January 29 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville. He suffered a fall and broken hip and had been hospitalized for about 10 days. He was born March 5, 1880, and reached the age of 80 yrs. He has resided at his present address for the last 8 years. He was a retired baker and was a veteran of the Spanish American War.

Friends may call at Schroeppel Funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday and the funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. C.H. Kuhlmann officiating. Internment will be at St. John's Cemetery.

His survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lillian Pausch; two children Andrew Pierre Pausch of Collinsville and Mrs. Charles (Helen) F. Mueller Jr. of St. Louis; one grandson Raymond C. Mueller and a great-grandson Stephen C. Mueller. He has one sister, Mrs. Clara Hornig of St. Louis, and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Kathryn Lamb and Mrs. Mathilda Castlen of Collinsville and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

NOTE: The Spanish Service Medal (above) was awarded for service in the Spanish American War and issued to all officers and men who served 90 days excluding the theater of operations in the war.
