George W. Barlow George W. Barlow private Co. B, 26th MO Inf Full muster record for George W. Barlow: age 48 at enlistment; height 5' 7"; light hair; blue eyes; fair complexion; married; occupation ship carpenter and caulker; born in Rochester, Monroe county, New York; at time of enlistment, residing in Attica, Indiana; enlisted August 20, 1861; mustered in on October 31, 1861, at Springfield, Missouri by Major John Holman (later Lieut. Col. of the 26th). George W. Barlow is buried at Central Branch National Home Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio, and has a military headstone provided by the U. S. government. He died January 15, 1900.
