Seth Burton Seth Burton private Co. I, 26th MO Inf Full Muster record - age 18; height 5' 10"; dark hair; blue eyes; florid complexion; single; occupation farmer; born in Franklin county, Missouri; residing at Union, Franklin county, Missouri, at time of enlistment on Sep. 21, 1861; mustered into service on Dec. 25, 1861 at Pacific, Missouri, by Captain Harper. A military headstone was placed near his grave at the Soldiers Home in Leavenworth, Kansas. He died April 4, 1889. The stone was made by W. H. Gross company of Lee, MA.
