Conway; age 21; height 5' 9"; dark hair; blue eyes; florid complexion; single; farmer; born in Franklin county, Missouri; residing in Shotwell, Franklin county, Missouri, at time of enlistment on Sep. 21, 1861; mustered into service on Dec. 25, 1861 at Pacific, Missouri by Captain Harper; Killed at the battle of Tunnel Hill, Nov. 25, 1863 (North end of Missionary Ridge during the battle of Chattanooga).
