Isaac Evans/Evens Isaac Evans/Evens 1st sergeant Co. F, 26th MO Inf Full muster record for Isaac Evans/Evens: age 38 at enlistment; height 6' 1"; "other" hair; blue eyes; light complexion; single; occupation miner; born in Franklin county, Missouri; at time of enlistment, residing in Franklin county, Missouri; enlisted October 2, 1861; mustered in on December 17, 1861, at Pacific, Missouri by a Captain Harper (not from the 26th); Promoted to 1st Sgt. Oct. 1, 1862 A military headstone was placed near his grave near Union, Missouri. He died in June 4, 1870. The stone was made by Sheldon and Sons of West Rutland, Vermont.
