age 19; height 5' 8 1/2"; black hair; blue eyes; fair complexion; single; farmer; born in Fountain county, Indiana; living in Attica, Indiana when he enlistmented on August 30, 1861; mustered in on October 31, 1861 at Springfield, Missouri by Major John Holman.

Ferdinand Lamme is buried in Attica, Indiana.  He died February 15, 1878.  A veteran's stone was created the D. W. Whitney company.  The contract for the stone was made by the U.S. Government on November 9, 1879. 1

Ferdinand didn't live long enough to apply for a Civil War Veteran's Pension, but his wife Celestia applied for a widow's pension on July 2, 1890.  Her application number was 431,907 and her certificate number was 343,150.  Her pension request was filed while living in Indiana.  Copies may be obtained from the National Archives by accessing the following URL: 

In the 1870 U.S. Federal Census, Ferdinand lived in the same household with a Elijah Southerland.  Ferdinand was 26 at the time and was married to Celestia.  They had 2 children; Albert age 3, and Mary age 1. 2

Celesta Glover and F. B. Lamme were united in marriage on December 20, 1866, in Fountain County, Indiana. 3
