Memoir of George Boardman Boomer
by Mrs. Mary Amelia (Boomer) Stone,
Boston: Press of Geo. C. Rand & Avery., 1864.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

This is the Table of Contents for the Memoir of George Boardman Boomer by his sister Mrs. Mary Amelia (Boomer) Stone.  This book was written shortly after his death at the siege of Vicksburg, on May 22, 1863.  The book was based upon his journals that were written while he lived in Missouri and his letters written to family and friends throughout his brief but productive life.

Every attempt was made to maintain the integrity of all spelling and pagination during the transcription of this book.  Included was an apparent error by the publisher at the bottom of page 247.  A thought is being expressed and the sentence seems to continue on the following page, but a different thought and  new sentence begins.  Despite the fact that the pagination continues in sequence, it seems possible that the publisher left out at least 2 pages of material.  When the regimental history was written, this error was evidently noticed and the discontinued sentence was omitted.  The thought that was being expressed is provocative and it would be interesting to know the conclusion.
